How does a GPS tracker work for your pet?
The device detects your pet's location using GPS, and then transmits the data over the 4G network to the app on your phone. This way, you can check its current location on the map.
Should the phone be located next to the locator?
No. StealthTrack ™ Pet does not work as a regular Bluetooth locator. Your phone doesn't have to be close to your pet, but the device does need access to a GPS signal and a cellular network.
Does the locator need a SIM card?
Yes. An active SIM card with an Internet package is required to transmit your location over the 4G network. PIN code blocking must be disabled on the card.
How much Internet does the locator consume?
The device typically consumes about 30 MB of internet per month. Actual consumption depends on the frequency of position transmission and the number of alerts. A 100 MB per month package will provide a secure supply.
How does the Geo-Fence function work?
In the app, you can mark a safe area, for example, around a house, garden, or plot. When a pet crosses its border, you will receive a notification on your phone.
How exactly does the locator show the position?
Accuracy depends on GPS satellite visibility, network coverage, and the environment. You will get the most accurate readings outdoors. In buildings, dense forests, or between tall buildings, the position may be less accurate.
Does the locator work in the woods and out of town?
Yes, if the location has a GPS signal and supported cellular network coverage. In very dense forest or areas with no coverage, the position update may be delayed.
Is the locator waterproof?
The device is rated IP67, which makes it resistant to dust, rain, dirt and accidental contact with water. However, we do not recommend submerging the device for a long time or using it while swimming.
How long does it last on a single charge?
Uptime depends on the frequency of location updates, the quality of network coverage, and how you use it. More frequent loading of positions provides more accurate viewing, but consumes energy faster.
Is the locator suitable for dogs and cats?
Yes. The locator can be attached to a dog or cat's collar. For very small pets, you should make sure in advance that the size and weight of the device will be suitable for your pet.
